The only thing that is funny about this blog, is the fact that I set it up and then NEVER actually used it. Funny? Or Pathetic....like slipping on a banana peel is funny.
Let us see here. The Erzsi and Jonny Show no longer exists. It did exist from 2003 to 2005 in the theater at The Village Lantern, on Bleeker Street in New York City. Maybe the show will come back one day. That is why I refuse to take down this Blog!
The E and J Show's motto was, "Where YOU are the SHOW!" Jonny had an audio sampler that we would play throughout the show. Throughout the show, the comics were blessed by the sound effects that Jonny and played. Put it this way - one of the audio samples was a gong.
Needlesstosay, some comics enjoyed the laugh track, the gong, the boing sound, the ba-dum-dum-ching (high hat)...and some hated it. Attendance was good though, and we packed a full house. Our show started attracting comics from the Comedy Cellar - who were warming up for the night. The show regularly lasted from 10:30 PM to 1:00 AM every Tuesday night.
